When things are not clear, it is hard to have faith. Living in a world where things are instant, from fast food to online dating, it is easy to get lost in the shuffle. My hopes after reading this book are that you will feel there is hope and you are not the only one who feels the way you do or did. What you have been through was supposed to happen to you so you can become who you are destined to be. Wanting something more than God has happened in EVERY area of my life whether it was dealing with anger, envy, lack of patience, and feeling the need to control everything.
On top of failed relationship after failed relationship, I got to a place where I felt defeated, worthless, wondering, and questioning God. Maybe my life was not where I wanted it to be, because this was all life had to offer me anyway. I was too afraid to change it. I began to wish, distract, and please people to make myself feel better. I put so many things in front of ME, it got in the way of GOD. Those who leave everything in God’s hands will eventually see God’s hands in everything.

About the Author
Matthew 6:34
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Angela B. Burgess is a first-time author. Over ten years ago at a church service, a prophet spoke and told Angela she would write a book. She questioned and denied that calling until 2019. "I killed the dream because I didn't think I was worth it.” At a Bible study, she heard a man speak about wanting something more than God, and from that started the journey of writing this book.
Angela is a devout Christian and mental health therapist who believes in meeting people where they are. The combination of having a clinical and spiritual background has helped Angela overcome mental and spiritual battles. Her experiences with anger/resentment/ envy, lack of patience, and needing to control every situation has made her who she is today. God used each situation to help her give a total surrender in every area in her life. No longer leaving herself out or believing more for others than for herself. She no longer walks in fear, but boldly walks the path that God has set for her. Terrified and all, she did it anyway.
